Position Overview: Under the direction of the principal, the teacher is responsible for encouraging and motivating students to discover their enthusiasm, talents, and skills for expression and creativity in the visual arts. The teacher will plan, prepare, and deliver art lessons that engage students and provide growth; evaluate, assess, and give feedback on student progress while providing a safe learning environment for learning. Education and Experience: (Minimum Required) 1. MN State Department of Education license for appropriate subject/grade level. 2. Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in relevant subject area. 3. Willingness to learn and stay current. 4. High levels of creative and organizational skills. 5. Experience using a variety of mediums to create art. Physical Requirements: 1. Must be able to sustain prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. 2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the school.
