Principal Tri-City United Lonsdale Elementary School

As the principal, the successful candidate will lead and manage the instructional programs as well as supervise the operations and personnel at Tri-City United Lonsdale Elementary School, provide leadership to ensure high standards of instruction, oversee compliance with district policies and the operation. TCU Lonsdale Elementary serves PreK - Grade 4 with an enrollment of 240 students and is a progressive school with a nurturing, positive learning environment.   
Job Requirements:
  1.  Qualify for or hold valid Minnesota K-12 Principal licensure
  2.  Successful experience as an Elementary School Principal preferred
  3.  Demonstrated success in meeting the needs of all students
The successful TCU Lonsdale Elementary Principal will be an individual who possesses:
  1.  A belief that all students can and will learn.
  2.  A growth mindset for all; students and adults.
  3.  Demonstrated ability to work in partnership, and foster a commitment, among staff and parents to continuously improve practices and create the conditions for equity and excellence.
  4.  A commitment to personalized learning for students and staff.         

The successful TCU Lonsdale Principal will be an individual who has demonstrated:
  1. successful experience in implementing practices consistent with scientifically based reading research, best practices in numeracy, assessment for learning, and facilitating high-quality professional learning
  2. the ability to effectively manage and lead change; and implement innovative practices to improve engagement and learning for students
  3. outstanding abilities in written and oral communication, human resource management, and school operations
  4. effective facilitation and use of technology as a tool to improve student achievement and manage work
  5. thorough knowledge of PBIS and RTI processes within a professional learning community
  6. personal professional learning and development through a strong understanding of student and adult learning
  7. the ability to apply data and mission-driven decision-making in establishing strategic goals and objectives
  8. thorough organizational, financial, interpersonal, and supervision skills
  9. visible instructional leadership who engages in consistent communication with staff, students, and community
