Math Paraprofessional - Kato Public Charter Schools

Description:
Kato Public Charter School, a project-based learning school serving students in grades 6-12, has a vacancy for an afternoon part-time Title I math paraprofessional for the 2017-18 school year. 

Requirements:
  • Equivalent of two years of post-secondary education (an A.A. degree), or a minimum score of 460 in the ParaPro test which measures math and reading skills
  • Strong math content knowledge
  • Ability to connect well with students of middle and high school ages
  • Experience with technology and working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets
  • Experience working in a school setting
  • Title I and math tutoring experience preferred
  • Fluent in English
General duties:
  • Assist the Title I coordinator in identifying students with Title I needs
  • Work with students with math needs and in other academic areas as assigned, one-on-one or in a small group setting
  • Document and keep records as instructed by the Title I coordinator
  • Monitor testing as needed under the direction of the testing coordinator
  • Provide student supervision as needed
  • Demonstrate superior work ethic and maintain excellent attendance
  • Follow all school policies and procedures
  • Complete other duties as assigned
