Behavioral Interventionist - Harvest Network of Schools, Minneapolis

Position Description:


The Behavior Specialist is under the direction of the Student Support Services Department and is responsible for the behavior assessments of students and generating and implementing behavior plan.




Some college credits from a regionally or nationally accredited university

Training in verbal de-escalation (PREPARE, CPI, etc)

Knowledge and training in effective behavioral strategies for students

Experience in working as a part of a team to develop and support implementation of intervention plans

1 or more years of experience working with students who have experienced childhood trauma

Experience in creating and maintaining confidential student data

Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize

Strong and professional work ethic

Prior experience showing an ability to remain calm, caring and open-minded


Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in social work, guidance counselor, school psychology or related field

At least 1-2 years’ experience working in a collaborate environment that requires decision making, critical thinking and detailed written documentation/record keeping.
