Statement of Faith

Each member of the School Board and each member of the staff of Morning Son Christian School having accepted Jesus Christ as personal Savior, shall subscribe annually in writing to the following statement:

The basis of Morning Son Christian School is the infallible Word of God written in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as they are generally summarized in the historic evangelical confessions of faith, and particularly in the Apostles’ Creed.  On this basis we subscribe to the following articles:

  1. We believe in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as being verbally and infallibly inspired by God, and we submit ourselves wholeheartedly to their authority in all matters of faith and life, including education.
  2. We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; and that this living and only true God is the Creator, Sustainer and Governor of all creation.
  3. We believe that the universe was created by the immediate and direct action of Almighty God; that man was thus created in the image of God, that he subsequently fell into sin and thereby incurred not only physical death but became spiritually dead in sin until born again by the Spirit of God.
  4. We believe that Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, was born of the Virgin Mary, and is true God and true man in one person; and that in Him are embodied all treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
  5. We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice to the justice of God and that all who believe in Him are justified by faith on the grounds of His shed blood and righteousness.
  6. We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of Christ, and in His ascension into heaven, where He makes intercession for us as our High Priest and rules as our Lord and King.
  7. We believe that our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will personally return to this earth to judge the living and the dead and to consummate His kingdom.
  8. We believe that all who are born again by the Holy Spirit and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ become the children of God and that God calls His children to live a holy life of obedience to His commandments as revealed in the Scriptures.
  9. We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just to everlasting blessedness and of the unjust to everlasting punishment.

Morning Son Christian School

Lifestyle Statement

Morning Son Christian School is a religious, nonprofit organization representing Jesus Christ throughout the local community. Morning Son Christian School requires its employees to be born-again Christians, living their lives as Christian role models (Rom. 10:9-10, I Tim. 4:12, Luke 6:40). Employees will conduct themselves in a way that will not raise questions regarding their Christian testimonies. A Christian lifestyle should reflect the biblical perspective of integrity, appropriate personal and family relationships, business conduct, and moral behavior. An employee is expected to demonstrate a teachable spirit, an ability to share love for others, a willingness to live contentedly under authority, and a commitment to follow the Matthew 18 principle when an issue arises with fellow employees or management.

The Morning Son Christian School Statement of Faith expects employees to maintain a lifestyle based on biblical standards of moral conduct. Moral misconduct, which violates the bona fide occupational qualification for employees to be Christian role models includes, but is not limited to, promiscuity and homosexual behavior or any other violation of the unique roles of male and female (Rom. 1:21-27, I Cor. 6:9-20). Morning Son Christian School believes that biblical marriage is limited to a covenant relationship between a man and a woman.

Morning Son Christian School employees will maintain a lifestyle based on biblical standards of conduct. Failure to do so may result in a reprimand or, in some cases, dismissal from employment. It is the goal of Morning Son Christian School that each employee will have a lifestyle in which “He may have the preeminence” (Col. 1:18, NKJV).

Morning Son Christian School

Declaration of Moral Integrity

Our school expects all of its employees, as well as its volunteers who have unsupervised access to children, to model the same Christian values and lifestyle that it seeks to instill in its students. As an applicant for a ministry position as an employee or volunteer at this school, I recognize, understand, and agree to live by the Christian moral standards of the school.

I declare that as a follower of Christ, I am not engaging in and commit to not engage in inappropriate sexual conduct. Inappropriate conduct includes, but is not limited to, such behaviors as the following: heterosexual activity outside of marriage (e.g. premarital sex, cohabitation, extramarital sex), homosexual activity, sexual harassment, use of (including the viewing of) pornographic material or websites, and the sexual abuse or improprieties toward minors as defined by the Scripture and federal or state laws.

I declare that the above statement is factual and true. I agree to meet the moral integrity standards and Christian role model lifestyle requirements of this Christian school.

“Honor marriage, and guard the sacredness of sexual intimacy between wife and husband. God draws a firm line against casual and illicit sex.” (Hebrews 13:4, The Message)

“A pupil is not superior to his teacher, but everyone (when he is) completely trained (readjusted, restored, set to rights, and perfected) will be like his teacher.” (Luke 6:40, AMP)
