Successful Background Check required
Experience with MN Reading Corps and young children preferred
Ability to lift up 10 lbs on a regular basis with up to 50 pounds on occasion

Skills Needed:
Knowledge of MN Reading Corps, or ability to learn strategies.
General knowledge of best practices, methods and techniques used in early childhood classroom teaching.
Ability to work effectively with classroom staff.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Strong communication skills
Passion for working with children. 

Specific Tasks:
Provide support to classroom staff by reinforcing skills being taught in the classroom to small groups or individual children. Regularly monitor the progress of these children with the help of the classroom teacher, and adjust as needed. Other duties as assigned by classroom teacher or Coordinator.

Hours Per Day:
App. 29 hours per week
