Position Summary:
The Community Education Youth Program Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the coordination of youth programming activities within the Community Education Department.  It will assist with planning, implementation and evaluation of various youth programs, including communications, marketing, youth voice, data collection, community collaborations and sustainability efforts.  Program responsibilities will include a balance of youth enrichment programs and community impact programs, as well as direct and indirect customer service, program delivery and monitoring at Roosevelt Community School and off-site.

Requirements:
An associate degree or two years of post-secondary coursework in education, community education, recreation, child development, youth studies, social services or a related field and two years of experience working with youth programs, including work with diverse populations and community involvement. Proficient with Microsoft software applications; documented digital literacy skills; one-year successful experience working in a team program production environment; highly-developed interpersonal and organizational skills; and successful experience in working with school-age children and adults.  Must have own reliable transportation for duties related to off-site programs.

Other Skills & Abilities:
Read, write and comprehend oral and written instructions.  Mobility and ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to ten pounds.  Hearing, speech and sight are required.  Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.  Maintain flexibility in day to day dealing with staff and students.  Maintain the confidentiality of all information regarding students.  Perform duties within a tight daily schedule and with an awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies.

Schedule:
6/5/2017 - 8/25/2017 / Monday - Thursday / 8:00AM - 4:30PM 

Pay Rate:
$13.81 per hour
