Position Description:

Health services at LLC are necessary for students that are sick or have daily medication/medical procedures. Under the direction of a district Licensed School Nurse, this person will work to meet the health needs of all students that are a part of our programming at LLC. The ideal candidate will seamlessly flex from the role of health educational assistant to special education assistant up to several times per school day. Over the course of a week, it can be expected that when totaled, two working days will be spent in the health office and three days will be spend as a special education assistant.
In addition to the duties described above, this person will assist with early childhood screening. Children ages 3-5 are screened throughout the year to determine their overall health and development. Screening related job requirements include vision and hearing screening, followup contact with parents, rescreenings, and data entry into the student information system. Many early childhood screenings take place during regular working hours. Some evening hours will be required at various times throughout the year.  Additionally, there are some summer hours required.
