Qualifications:  Qualified candidates must possess Minnesota state teaching license to teach Social Studies (grades 5 - 8); previous experience in a middle school setting is preferred.
Summary of Duties:  This is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position to teach social studies to students in grades 6-8. Interest and skill in effectively instructing middle school students in the areas of Geography, American History and Minnesota history; good understanding of technology to enhance instruction; desire and ability to work cooperatively with other team members; excellent classroom management skills; openness and availability to students; preparation, skill, and commitment to providing for the individual learning needs of all students; ability to create positive, inclusive learning environments for all students; ability to organize and plan for student learning; familiarity with current teaching/learning theories and Minnesota state standards.
