Early Childhood Screener
Full Time  185 days/7.5 hrs/day

Duties:
Administer Health and/or Development screenings for the Early Childhood Screening Program for children ages 3 until the child starts kindergarten.  Discuss the general development of the child with parent(s). Assist in identifying children to be evaluated for special education programming. Refer families to community resources. Maintain records of screening. Other duties may include: Screen children's hearing and vision as part of state mandated kindergarten screening; perform a medical history involvement pertinent to child development.  Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Requires Licensed Special Ed professional.  Good communication and organizational skills.  Ability/desire to work cooperatively with department and district staff.  Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds.  Ability to perform position responsibilities including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions.

Preferred Qualifications:
Licensed Special Education Teacher, School Psychologist, Speech Language Pathologist, or Licensed School Nurse preferred.

Rate of Pay:  $24.85/hour.

Start Date:  August 2017.
