The Sauk Rapids-Rice Public School District No. 47 is seeking an educator to provide behavioral management support and behavioral interventions at Pleasantview Elementary School.  Preferred candidates will have experience providing behavioral support to elementary students, will have background in Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports (PBIS), will have an understanding of mental health needs in an elementary population, and will be experienced in providing supervision and training to support staff.  Pleasantview is a K-5 building with 760+ students.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Working with students needing additional assistance to be successful behaviorally in a classroom or other school setting
  • Supporting staff in developing plans and implementing behavioral interventions to allow student success in the classroom
  • Support students by building relationships and teaching skills that will support positive behaviors
  • Communicate with staff, students and parents regarding students' needs and behavioral progress
  • Support a positive school climate to establish a thriving learning culture
  • Assist in developing racial, cultural, socio-economic and educational competencies that transcend differences
  • Supervise and train support staff in implementing PBIS and de-escalation techniques in classroom and non-structured times
  • Supervise students during non-classroom times

Required Qualifications:
Hold a current Minnesota Teaching License with an elementary education endorsement

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience as an elementary educator
  • Have or pursuing an advanced degree

Contract:
Salary and benefits negotiated based on the Sauk Rapids-Rice Education Association Agreement.
