Assistant Principal
Sartell High School

Position starts July 1, 2017



Position Summary:
Under the direction of the High School Principal, the Assistant Principal is responsible for providing educational leadership and management oversight of building personnel in implementing educational programming, curriculum, instruction, safety and district policies and procedures within the building. 
 
Duties include responsibilities for coordinating the supervision, discipline and monitoring of students; assisting in the implementation and enforcement of District policies and procedures; assisting in staff supervision, teacher evaluation, assessment coordination, and professional development planning; coordinating building attendance records; assisting with student scheduling and student services (i.e. registration, grade reporting, conferences, etc.).
 
This position is responsible for evening activity supervision as part of job duties. This responsibility is shared between Principal, Assistant Principals and Activities Director.
 

Required Qualifications, Education and Experience:
  • Masters/Specialist degree in educational administration, plus appropriate administrative licensure in the state of Minnesota or currently enrolled in an Administrative Program with the ability to obtain an appropriate Minnesota Principal license no later than July 1, 2017.
  • 3-5 years of licensed educational experience at the 9-12 high school level.
  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills in a wide variety of professional settings to all stakeholders, including parents, staff, students, community members and fellow administrators.
  • Strong knowledge in learning processes, models, theories and educational technologies, trends, developments and best practices.
