Full Time

(1) Serve as District curriculum/instruction teacher on special assignment for Elementary curriculum, instruction and assessment, specifically in relation to literacy Grades 3 through 6.  (2) Collaborate with District literacy TALS, K-2, and Secondary, on first best practice in curriculum and assessment in literacy instructions.  (3) Provide leadership in maintaining equal access for students through implementation of District curriculum.  (4) Provide leadership in assessing curriculum, instruction, and assessment needs for cluster schools and instructional staff.  (5) Provide support and training in instructional improvement practices and standards implementation.  (6) Provide schools with accurate and timely student assessment/testing information for decision making.  (7) Provide services to assist schools in reaching school improvement goals.  (8) Assist schools in meeting special needs of all learners.  (9) Assist in organizing and facilitating staff development needs.  (10) Provide District leadership by serving as liaison from district office to schools and community to promote the goals and outcomes of Anoka-Hennepin School District.  (11) Actively promote communication among clusters.  (12) Provide support for talent development and  critical thinking.  (13) Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:  Requires a current MN Teaching License in any field.  Work in collaboration with others and function in team settings.
(Anoka-Hennepin will make every effort to hire teachers with full standard licenses in the assigned subject and grade level.)

Start Date:  ASAP.    Duty year = 187 days plus up to 20 additional days.  Flexible scheduling of assigned duty days over 11-month calendar, August 1 thru June 30.
