Literacy Implementation (TOSA) Teacher on Special Assignment Position Summary FTE: 1.0 Days: 184 duty days with a flex schedule for additional training and meetings. The position will require a commitment to after school professional development . Compensation: Burnsville Education Association Contract Summary : The purpose of the Literacy Implementation TOSA is to assist in the implementation of foundational literacy curriculum. The position will be project based with the goal of ensuring READ Act requirements and state assessments are successfully implemented. Education/Experience : Current teaching license with Minnesota Department of Education. Successful completion of READ Act training. Reading license or certification preferred. Valid MN driver''s license. Essential Job Functions Responsibilities Assist in the district implementation of READ Act: Reports to the Directors of Elementary and Secondary Education Facilitate curriculum development for elementary literacy Provide professional development and coaching for literacy and reading instructions Support teachers with achievement data collection and analysis Key Projects Implementation of K-5 CAREIALL training Implementation of 6-12 STRIVE training Support for K-12 assessment and curriculum alignment Facilitate reading and literacy professional development Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications The successful candidate for this position will have demonstrated: Experience implementing effective instruction Successful completion of READ Act training Understanding of MN ELA Standards and Science of Reading Ability to project manage and facilitate effective professional development for adults Application Process Our online application system offers the opportunity to upload additional information such as a cover letter, resume, references and transcripts.
