Job Title: Music Teacher (Band/Choir) 1.0 FTE Reports to: Building Principal FLSA Status: $ 44,500-$60,000 based upon experience Schedule : Monday - Friday 7:35-3:35 Union: Teacher Position Available: 2026-2027 School Year Date Closing: Open until filled Cedar Mountain Secondary has a 1.0 FTE Music Band/Choir Teacher opening for the 2026-2027 school year. Cedar Mountain is a consolidated school district in Southwest Minnesota serving about 200 students in grades 6-12. The communities of Franklin and Morgan, Minnesota, are located between Redwood Falls and Sleepy Eye. Job Summary: Cedar Mountain seeks a teacher who is enthusiastic about teaching and promoting high academic standards. The qualified candidate will prepare lessons, instruct students of a wide range of abilities, collaborate with other teachers, and create a positive learning environment. This position will be director and teacher of 6th grade band and choir, 7-8 band and choir, and 9-12 band and choir with possible music electives based on applicant skills. Required Qualifications A valid MN teaching license OR A willingness to obtain an Out of Field Permission with PELSB Ability to inspire and recruit students into both vocal and instrumental tracks. College in the Schools (CIS) credentialing is highly preferable but not a requirement. What We Offer: Competitive salary starting at $44,500 and benefits package.
