Two Teaching Positions: Glenville-Emmons School District has two openings in our districts Pk-12 th grade music department and we have a great deal of flexibility with how we fill these positions. Position Summary: Glenville-Emmons School District is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Music and/or Band Teacher to lead a comprehensive music program for students within the district. These positions include instruction in both vocal and/or instrumental music, with an emphasis on building student skills, confidence, and appreciation for music through performance and collaboration. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver comprehensive vocal/instrumental music instruction to elementary and/or high school students Direct and manage school ensembles (e.g., choir, band, small groups) Prepare students for concerts, competitions, and school/community performances Assess student progress and provide regular feedback Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs and skill levels Maintain classroom management and ensure a positive, inclusive learning environment Organize rehearsals, performances, and music-related events Maintain and care for musical instruments, equipment, and sheet music inventory Qualifications Bachelor?s degree in music education or related field Valid Minnesota teaching license in Music (or ability to obtain) Ability to instruct vocal and/or instrumental ensembles Strong conducting and rehearsal leadership skills Skills & Competencies Strong communication and relationship-building skills Ability to engage students with varying skill levels Effective classroom management Organizational and event-planning abilities Passion for music education and student development Work Environment Classroom and rehearsal spaces Occasional evening and weekend commitments for performances and events Compensation & Benefits Salary based on education and experience per district master agreement Benefits in accordance with district policy and Minnesota guidelines Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume, copy of their Minnesota teaching license, transcripts, and letters of recommendation to Jeff Tietje, Principal.
