Position : Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 5?8), 1.0 FTE School Year : 2026?2027 About Nasha Shkola Charter School Nasha Shkola Charter School is a small K?8 public charter school located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Our mission is to provide a strong academic foundation while fostering multilingualism, multicultural understanding, and appreciation of Russian language and Slavic heritage. More than 90% of our students are multilingual learners. Nasha Shkola is not a language immersion school. Core academic instruction is delivered in English using evidence-based curricula aligned with Minnesota standards. Students also receive daily instruction in Russian language and culture as part of our unique heritage-focused educational program. Our mathematics program utilizes Singapore Math, emphasizing conceptual understanding, problem-solving, mathematical reasoning, and mastery of essential skills. Responsibilities Teach mathematics to students in grades 5?8 using the Singapore Math curriculum and Minnesota Academic Standards. Create a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Use assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress. Collaborate with colleagues, families, and support staff. Communicate effectively with parents regarding student achievement and growth. Participate in school events, professional development, and school improvement initiatives. Qualifications Applicants must hold or be eligible to obtain a Minnesota teaching license appropriate for middle school mathematics instruction. Strong mathematics content knowledge and a commitment to helping all students succeed. Experience working with multilingual learners is preferred but not required. Familiarity with Singapore Math is preferred but not required; training and support will be provided. A full position description is available upon request.
