Salary Range: $48,872 – $87,164 (commensurate with education and public school teaching experience)
Position Summary:
North Elementary School is seeking a passionate and student-centered English Language Learning (ELL) teacher to support multilingual learners in grades 2 through 4. This full-time position focuses on building language proficiency and academic achievement by providing targeted instruction and collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure English learners have equitable access to grade-level content.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Provide direct instruction to English learners in grades 2–4 through both push-in and pull-out service models.
* Design and implement language development instruction aligned with students’ WIDA proficiency levels and the Minnesota English Language Development Standards.
* Support classroom teachers in scaffolding content instruction and modifying assessments for English learners.
* Analyze and monitor student progress using informal and formal measures, including WIDA ACCESS data.
* Build strong, culturally responsive partnerships with families of English learners.
* Maintain all required documentation to ensure compliance with state and federal ELL guidelines.
Qualifications:
* Valid Minnesota teaching license in English as a Second Language (K–12).
* Experience working with multilingual learners in a public elementary setting preferred.
* Strong knowledge of WIDA standards, academic language development, and strategies for language acquisition.
* Demonstrated commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching practices.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Salary and Benefits:
* Salary range: $48,872 to $87,164, based on education level and public school teaching experience (per the Teacher Master Agreement).
