Job Summary: Lake Ripley Elementary seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional
Schedule: Generally 6-6.5 hours a day hours per day.
Qualifications: Successful completion of the ParaEducator test or a 2 or a 4 year degree
Ability to speak Spanish is not required, but prefered
Essential Functions:
* Assist teachers as needed with planning, preparation, and distribution of classroom materials.
* Assist students in learning and other activities.
* Maintain regular attendance.
* Comply with State Law and District policies and regulations.
* Maintain a safe environment for students that is conducive to learning.
* Anticipate and effectively addresses unforeseen crises associated with working with children.
* Perform supportive instructional tasks under the supervision of certified teacher
* Attend district workshops as directed.
Litchfield I.S.D. 465 is located 1 hour west of the Twin Cities Metro Area and is a member of the Wright County Conference. We are also a 1:1 Apple school with all students and teachers having Macbooks/iPads for educational purposes.
