The English Teacher?s major responsibilities are: Implement curriculum and activities to meet the academic standards Participate in collaborative curriculum development Grade- level activities School wide functions Be accountable for student?s achievement of academic standards Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues. Effectively implement Responsive Classroom techniques. Candidates for this position should have strong leadership, organizational, communication and decision-making skills; and the ability to identify learning challenges, analyze, process, and make judgements with the sensitivity that is necessary to lead and coordinate programs for students.
