Mora High School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate educator to join our team as a full-time teacher for students with Emotional and Behavioral Disorders (EBD). The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment that supports the academic and emotional growth of students with diverse needs. This position requires a strong understanding of EBD, effective communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with parents and staff. Responsibilities - Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of each student with EBD. - Create and maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment that encourages positive behavior and academic engagement. - Utilize teaching strategies and interventions to promote social-emotional learning and behavioral regulation. - Collaborate with special education staff, counselors, and other professionals to support students. - Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and school administration. - Conduct regular meetings with parents and guardians. - Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices. - Maintain accurate records of student performance, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. - Advocate for the needs of students with EBD within the school community and contribute to a culture of acceptance and understanding.
