POSITION:
Groundskeeper, Temporary Summer Crew
SCHEDULE:
Hourly
Hours may vary based on program needs
SALARY:
$16.50/hr
REPORTS TO:
Lead Groundskeeper
SUPERVISION:
None

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Groundskeeper is a contact point for students, teachers, support staff, colleagues and parents. The Groundskeeper is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the grounds area assigned to them, security, safety, and other functions as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Customer Support
Assist in the implementation and follow through of grass cutting, athletic field marking and asphalt striping
Assist building administrators and other support staff in, setting up for these events, and other special tasks as assigned by the Lead Groundskeeper
Assist in the implementation and follow through on projects assigned in buildings during slow workdays and rain days
Direct Service
Perform daily cleaning (trash), mowing, and raking leaves around buildings and at athletic facilities including playgrounds
Performs small landscaping projects as assigned
Other duties as assigned
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The methods of performing the essential job duties require the following physical demands
Continuous standing and walking
Frequent stooping, squatting, kneeling, crawling, sitting, walking, standing, hearing, talking, and seeing
Frequent lifting and/or moving of equipment, supplies and furniture
Occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds
Frequent pushing and pulling
Work with various chemicals and follow Material Safety Data Sheet
Work with personal protective equipment
Working outside during inclement weather
