Spartan Spot is a program of ROCORI Community Education. This program cares for approximately 100+ kids a day during the school year and 200-250 in the summer. Spartan Spot is open 3-6pm during the school year, and 6:30-6pm Non School days/Summer. This position will be hired to work 9:30-6pm during the school year. The summer /non-school day shift can be flexible. This is a full time, 40 hour a week, year round position on the Class E Contract. This position may work in the Kid Care program with Preschool age students as needed as well. For Questions please email Brandii Thomas at thomasb@rocori.k12.mn.us Duties/Responsibilities: 1)GENERAL ADMINISTRATION a)Make daily decisions and plan daily routine and activities. b)Delegate to and directly supervise Child Care Assistants. c)Establish and develop collaborative effort with ROCORI preschool, and K-5 programs. d)Work closely with Child Care Assistants to implement daily routine and activities. e)Act as a liaison and communicate with the Child Care Coordinator regarding staff, program guidelines, procedures, goals, and objectives. f)Makes recommendations on the purchase of supplies and equipment within given budget parameters. g)Direct student contact & parent interactions. h)Implement school district policies and procedures when applicable for programming and staff. i)Other duties as assigned and appropriate for ROCORI&#8217;s Child Care programs. Job Requirements: * Minimum High School education with childcare experience. * Preferred 2 year degree or higher. * 3+ Years of childcare experience. * Have a working knowledge of area resources that support ROCORI students, families, and programs. * Experience working with children in a large childcare setting. * Have an understanding of developmentally appropriate activities for children of all ages. Physical Job Requirements: * Employee is continuously required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, talk, and hear; frequently sits, stoops, kneels and/or crouches, reach with hands and arms in the performance of the job.
