Summary Gateway STEM Academy is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Elementary Teacher to join our K-8 Charter School. We are committed to providing a comprehensive education that prepares students for success in STEM fields. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing classroom, foster curiosity, and integrate STEM principles into daily instruction, promoting academic excellence and building strong relationships with students, parents, and staff. Description * Plan and implement engaging lessons that align with state standards and focus on the core subjects, including STEM integration. * Foster a classroom environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student. * Use a variety of instructional strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and needs. * Incorporate hands-on learning activities and projects that inspire students to explore and develop problem-solving skills. * Regularly assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and adjusting instruction as needed. * Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the success of all students. * Maintain a positive and organized classroom environment conducive to learning. * Participate in professional development and stay current with educational trends, particularly in STEM education. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or related field. * Valid MN teaching certification for elementary education. * Previous experience in teaching or working with young learners is preferred. * Strong classroom management and communication skills. * Commitment to fostering a love for learning and a growth mindset in students. * Passion for integrating STEM principles into everyday lessons. Preferred Skills: * Experience with inquiry-based learning and hands-on projects. * Familiarity with standards-based grading and assessment. * Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs. * Enthusiasm for incorporating technology in the classroom to enhance learning.
