The Program Assistant,under the supervision of the Inclusion Facilitator, will have weekly 1:1 meetings with selected students, during which time they will work on developing that student&#8217;s SEL skills and engage in goal setting to help the student reach desired positive outcomes. This position will work with students at all 7 elementary sites and both of our middle school sites. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: * Plan and implement an individualized weekly lesson plan for each student on your caseload * Establish a consistent communication system with both parents and Site Managers to inform them of the child&#8217;s progress and any important information to be aware of. * Conduct observations of students as necessary in our program setting. * Utilize a wide variety of techniques and strategies for working with students with behavioral and developmental challenges. * Attend multiple trainings each year designed to strengthen their ability to develop SEL skills in students and their relationship building skills when working with children. * Work with students with special needs and their families to ensure that individualized plans are in place to allow every child to be successful in Adventure Connection. * Perform other duties as assigned. Preferred Qualifications: * College experience or Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in education, recreation, or other related fields is preferred. * Experience providing counseling services to elementary or middle school aged students. * Have a strong expertise in a wide variety of techniques and strategies for working with students with behavioral and developmental challenges.
