The Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) is a private, nonprofit organization founded in 1920. We are located in St. Peter, Minnesota. MSBA prides itself as being a &#8220;Go-To&#8221; education association by providing workshops, resources, services, and connections designed to help school boards save time, reduce expenses, govern efficiently, and remain focused on student achievement. Position We are excited to announce a new opportunity with MSBA! MSBA is seeking a full-time Director of Member Engagement. This new position will lead the Association&#8217;s efforts to increase member engagement and satisfaction. The position will collaborate to create and deliver member programs and events, with a focus on increasing involvement and enhancing the member experience. This position is a great opportunity for a motivated and creative self-starter with a passion to improve the status quo and bring new ideas to life! This position has a hybrid working model; it requires occasional evening and weekend hours. Occasional travel is required. Primary Responsibilities The Director of Member Engagement will: * Plan and execute member engagement programs, including but not limited to projects, campaigns, and events with the goal of retaining and increasing the involvement of current members as well as attracting new members. * Establish metrics to evaluate member engagement; monitor member feedback. * Establish metrics and measure the success of Association initiatives, events, and resources to ensure continued effectiveness, relevance, and responsiveness. * Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of member engagement, marketing, communications, and board development initiatives with Association goals and priorities. * Identify and engage potential partners who would provide benefit to members. * Execute responsibilities with a focus on continuous improvement and superior customer service. * Prepare, submit, and present reports, as needed. * Establish, maintain, and enhance effective relationships in order to work collaboratively with the MSBA board and staff, MSBA members, partners, and other organizations. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 1. Proficient interpersonal skills enabling effective interaction with individuals at all levels, together with a customer-service-oriented approach emphasizing responsiveness and problem-solving. 2. Excellent organizational skills and high attention to accuracy and detail. 3. Superior verbal and written communication skills. 4. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with minimal supervision and to collaborate with others as needed. 5. Excellent research, strategic, and analytical skills. 6. Working knowledge of standard computer software and technology (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite and related programs). Preferred Skills & Qualifications * Effective public speaking and presentation skills for small and large groups. * Familiarity with local government boards or educational environments, coupled with understanding of public education and school board governance.
