DESCRIPTION Position Title: Parish Receptionist Reports to: Executive Assistant to the Parish Administrator, Mary Ballariel Receives Work Direction From: Executive Assistant to the Parish Administrator, Mary Ballariel, Parish Administrator, Patty Stromen and Fr. Dale Korogi, Pastor Working Environment: Proficient Bilingual Ability - English & Spanish, This position requires you to be onsite to complete your responsibilities. Schedule: 40 hours/week, 12 months/year, Monday &#8211; Friday $21.63 per hour non exempt benefit eligible position PURPOSE OF POSITION The receptionist supports and engages in the ministerial and administrative work of Church of the Ascension as outlined in the Representative responsibilities and in support of the mission and values of the parish. This position will operate in alignment with Ascension Parish&#8217;s mission of providing a sanctuary in which all are invited to recognize, acknowledge and live in God&#8217;s presence. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES Employment in and by the Church is substantially different from secular employment. Church employees must conduct themselves in a manner that is consistent with and supportive of the mission and purpose of the Church. Their behavior must not violate the faith, morals or laws of the Church or the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, such that it can embarrass the Church or give rise to scandal. It is preferred that this employee be a Catholic. It is expected that all employees respect Catholic doctrine and religious practices. Reasonable accommodation for the religious practice of employees not of the Catholic faith will be provided. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS * Minimum of 2 years experience in office setting * Proficient Bilingual Ability - English & Spanish * Ability to manage a busy work environment * Experience working with various technology * Ability to plan, organize and follow through with work in a timely manner * Ability to positively and easily relate to people from various backgrounds and cultures * Ability to multitask * Ability to prioritize work * Ability to be flexible with work assignments * Demonstrates dependability and punctuality REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES: Including but not limited to: Participate fully and responsibly in safety, security, HR, and finance guidelines, policies and procedures.
