Creating a safe social-emotional learning environment Job Summary The goal of ASP/SS is to align project-based learning with the day-to-day standards being taught to students at CSE. This program is voluntary for students in grades 2-12 and is supported by school administrators, and ASP Coordinator, and a PBIS behavior coach.The ASP Teacher will be responsible for creating lesson plans, supervising students, and duties as assigned. The ASP/SS teacher will also guide the development of assigned students as they participate in learning extensions, credit recovery, enrichment, and/or project-based curriculum. Responsibilities * To provide students in need of academic opportunities to review and strengthen basic skills in Reading and Math. * To provide students the opportunity to make up for lost educational experiences and course credits. * To provide enrichment opportunities for students to practice school skills in real-world situations. * To provide students with opportunities to strengthen their knowledge of Hmong language and culture. Curriculum: Power standards in Reading and Math or high school course power standards, high school enrichment and Hmong language and culture, ASP courses written by CSE staff Content: Using, in part, the content created for After School Programming (ASP) last year, we are in search of student experiences that are engaging to provide another opportunity to fill achievement gaps and cement power standards in our scholars. This is another opportunity for students to connect with their school and gain confidence in their skills. Strong consideration should be given to language skills in lessons. This is not a time for screen time/computer drilling of skills - we get to have fun with learning!
