Summary:
Totino-Grace High School and Fine Arts Academy seeks a qualified and licensed instrumental music
instructor, involving teaching at Totino-Grace High School in Fridley (one day per week - Tuesday -
grades 9 - 12) and St Vincent de Paul in Osseo (two days per week - Wednesday and Friday - grades
4 - 8).
Position Qualifications and Duties:
1. BA/BS degree
2. Appropriate educational experiences
3. Current State of Minnesota Teaching License preferred
4. Successfully complete a background check
5. Ability and willingness to actively participate in Faculty Meeting and Learning Teams
6. Ability to align practice to the St Charles Borromeo, St. Vincent de Paul, Totino-Grace High
School and Totino-Grace Fine Arts Academy expectations.
7. Ability to work without supervision
8. Ability and willingness to learn and implement new educational strategies
9. Ability and willingness to manage and maintain a classroom of students effectively, with
good classroom management techniques
10. Ability and willingness to take direction from the administration of St. Vincent de Paul and
Totino-Grace High School, as well as the director of the TGFAA
11. Ability to write learning objective centered lesson plans
12. Be knowledgeable and supportive of Catholic School Mission and Philosophy, as well as the
Lasallian Mission.
13. Abide by all conditions of the employee handbook
14. Willingness to integrate technology into lessons for effective student learning
15. Must communicate effectively with parents, faculty / staff, administrators and the parish
communities
16. Keep supervisor and others appropriately informed
17. Must have the ability to plan, organize and meet deadlines
18. Work with TGFAA staff in various musical enrichment opportunities
