Job Summary
This position is responsible for delivering instruction to students in EC-12th grade.
Substitute teachers may collaborate with other instructional professionals, administrators, parents, counselors, and district personnel regarding student needs, district learning initiatives, curriculum, and building-related issues.
Responsibilities
* Deliver lessons aligned with the district curriculum.
* Adjust teaching methods to meet student needs.
* Teach clear learning objectives using effective strategies.
* Maintain discipline and promote respectful behavior.
* Create a structured, organized, and clean learning environment.
* Monitor student progress and provide additional support as needed.
* Collaborate with staff and administrators to achieve student and classroom goals.
* Attend training and stay current on teaching practices and technologies.
* Demonstrate knowledge of teaching methods, child development, and subject content.
* Exhibit skills in lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.
* Possess strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
Supervision of Other Employees
This position does not directly supervise other employees but provides indirect supervision for paraprofessionals in the classroom.

Minimum Qualifications
Education
* Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a relevant instructional subject area.
License
* Licensed in the State of Minnesota in the appropriate instructional area.
