Job Posting Paraeducator Job Description MVED is hiring for a special education paraeducator. The paraeducator position involves working with students in a self-contained special education program or a special education classroom for students with significant behaviors and needs that are related to disabilities, such as emotional/behavioral disorder and autism spectrum disorder. Title: Special Education Paraeducator Job Location: Saint Peter, MN General Summary: * Special education paraeducators assist students with special needs under the direction of a licensed teacher. The special education paraeducator assists the teacher in general daily classroom activities, helps special needs students, and cares for their physical, emotional health, and safety, affirming their abilities, and striving to promote dignity in all relationships. Responsibilities may include assisting teachers to provide support to students in the areas of academic assistance, physical assistance, behavior monitoring, and data collection.
