Shattuck-St. Mary&#8217;s School is seeking a Middle & Upper School History teacher for the 2025-2026 school year. Founded in 1858, Shattuck-St. Mary&#8217;s School (SSM) is an Episcopal, co-educational, college preparatory, independent boarding/day school serving 400 students in grades 6th-post graduate from 40 states and 22 countries. Set on a beautiful 250-acre campus south of Minneapolis/St. Paul in Minnesota, SSM offers a mix of traditional and progressive education, combining classroom and online learning to best prepare students for college and beyond. Class sizes at SSM are capped at 18 students per section and the student body is motivated to succeed. By cultivating creative and independent thinking, SSM fosters the transformation of its students to become citizens of integrity for an ever-changing world. Shattuck-St. Mary&#8217;s School is searching for an enthusiastic and experienced history teacher for our 9th grade World History and 10th grade United States History courses. We are seeking an individual with strong leadership skills who will work collaboratively with members of the department. Shattuck St. Mary&#8217;s School is a boarding/day school and faculty members are expected to be involved with both co-curricular activities and standard residential life duties involved with a residential school setting. In addition, full-time teachers serve as advisors to a group of students. Shattuck-St. Mary&#8217;s teacher salaries are based on experience and range from $38,000 for beginning teachers to the mid-70s for our most experienced faculty members. In addition to cash salaries, SSM teachers are eligible to receive generous benefits including family housing and meals on campus.
