The Richfield Public School District is now accepting applications for a Health Office Nurse to work at Academy of Holy Angels for the remaining of the school year. This position will assess and evaluate the health status of students (grades 9-12); provide nurse care and/or develop a nursing care plan for those with chronic health conditions; and provide information to students and their families regarding general health issues.
Qualifiations:
*A RN degree and license is preferred
* 2 years of post-high school education in a health care field preferred.
*Demonstrated understanding of and ability to work effectively with special needs students, including dealing with seizures and medical emergencies.
*Demonstrated interest and abilities to develop and sustain good relationships with students, staff, parents, guardians and others connected to the school setting.
*Demonstrated computer literacy and competence with the building's / department's / District's current office technologies required to keep assigned student / program records.
*Current Red Cross First Aid certificate preferred.
*CPR certification following on-the-job training.
*Qualified candidates without an RN license could be placed as a Health para ($19.44-$23.05 per hour).
Rate: $33.60 per hour
Schedule: 7.5 Hours per day, 190 school days
