Elementary Math Specialist, Long-term Substitute Providence Academy

Providence Academy seeks an experienced and faith-filled elementary math specialist teacher to join our Lower School faculty for the remainder of the current school year, beginning early March. The position is part-time (.6) and is assigned to supporting grade 1-5 students in small groups. You will work with classroom teachers and the learning support team to identify students with targeted needs in math and will work with those students in small grade-level groups. In this position you will join an excellent, professional, and supportive team of teachers.
Required:
● Strong support for Catholic teaching and the school’s Catholic mission and focus
● Strong background in teaching elementary or middle school math
● Holds a B.A./B.S. or higher level degree
● Experience teaching groups of elementary age children
● Excellent classroom management skills
● Demonstrate rapport with elementary students and their parents
Preferred, not required:
● Minnesota teaching license in Education (math, elementary, middle school or other applicable
background)
Starting Salary Range: $20.00-$35.00 / hour
