Trades and Industry Teacher (1.0 FTE) &#8211; Parkers Prairie High School Position Available: 2025-26 School Year Parkers Prairie High School is seeking a dynamic and skilled Trades and Industry Teacher for grades 7-12. This position provides an exciting opportunity to engage students in hands-on, career-focused learning experiences in skilled trades and industry fields. The ideal candidate will have expertise in woodworking, welding, small engines, construction, manufacturing, or related fields. Coaching and advisory roles are available. Qualifications: * Valid Minnesota teaching license in Career and Technical Education (CTE) or eligibility for a Tier 1, 2, or 3 license based on industry experience. * Strong background in trades, technology, or industrial education. * Ability to develop and deliver hands-on, project-based learning experiences. * Passion for preparing students for real-world career opportunities. * Strong classroom management and communication skills. Responsibilities: * Teach and develop engaging trades and industry curriculum for grades 7-12. * Incorporate real-world, hands-on learning experiences into instruction. * Collaborate with colleagues, industry partners, and the community to provide students with career exploration opportunities. * Ensure a safe and organized learning environment, including proper use and maintenance of equipment. * Support and inspire students to pursue post-secondary training, apprenticeships, or careers in trades and technology. Salary & Benefits: * Competitive salary based on experience. * Comprehensive benefits package, including a district contribution of $840 per month toward single or family health insurance.
