St. Timothy’s Catholic School in Maple Lake MN is now accepting applications for a kindergarten teacher for the 2025-2026 school year.
We are a parochial school supported by a vibrant community of families and a thriving parish which loves its Catholic school. We are committed to developing the body, mind, and soul of each of our children. Our mission of building a beautiful Catholic culture is supported by perpetual Eucharistic adoration, a rich sacramental life, Catechesis of the Good Shepherd (preschool-1st), the Augustine Institute’s Word of Life religions series, daily devotions, promotion of religious vocations, a vibrant youth group, and much more.
We believe young children will love to learn to read and write with confidence through a deliberative phonics program and through an immersion in the beautiful and awe-inspiring world of God's Creation. They need to hear beautiful language, learn to speak it, and develop a sense of wonder through a dynamic curriculum which also includes an immersion in numeracy.
As a member of the St. Timothy’s elementary department, you may have the opportunity to receive free LETRS training by Lexia Learning through CSCOE and a stipend for completing it.
Our commitment to our teachers includes:
* a competitive pay scale and benefit package
* an opportunity to earn a Master's degree of your choice with free tuition through either the University of St. Thomas or St. Paul Seminary
* free tuition for qualified dependents at the University of St. Mary's, Winona
* mentorship from an experienced staff member (14 years average Catholic school experience) focusing on a prayerful environment and the best in Catholic school tradition.
Qualifications
The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications:
* A passionate commitment to living and evangelizing the mission of Catholic education, as defined by the Church and for building the culture of life within the parish (es) and the school
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Elementary Education or related field, preferably with extensive experience in teaching reading–preferably Orton Gillingham methods of teaching phonograms/phonemic awareness
* Demonstrated ability to work collegially with others
* Demonstrated ability to learn and implement new educational strategies
* Manage and maintain a classroom effectively and with a dignified learning experience, integrating our Catholic beliefs about the human person through methods and curriculum which are authentic and inspiring
