Behavior Interventionist for Summer Programming
Orono Community Education provides robust summer programming supporting students and families through camps, child care and field trips. This position would support all summer programs working directly with students to support their success throughout the summer.
Position Summary:
* Provide behavioral support to students in a variety of summer program settings including summer enrichment programs, field trips and school-age child care.
* Guide students in conflict resolution and behavior management strategies.
* Build positive relationships with students, parents and staff members.
* Work with staff members and parents to develop behavior plans for student success.
* Provide timely and accurate documentation as required.
* Communicate effectively with students and parents in difficult and sensitive situations.
* Demonstrate tact, professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
Qualifications:
* Experience working with students in a group setting.
* Experience working with students with special needs.
* Effective behavior management and de-escalation skills.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills.
* Reliable and consistent attendance.
COMPENSATION
Hourly Wage: $20.20-$28.28
