POSITION: K-12 Social Work or Counselor 1.0 FTE at Brandon-Evansville Start Date: 2025/2026 school year Qualifications: Licensed as a School Social Worker or School Counselor Job Summary: Responsible for providing education to K-12 students so that intellectual, emotional, developmental, and social needs are met according to the district and state standards, that will foster life-long learning and good citizenship. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Provide individual and small-group counseling to address social-emotional learning, self-regulation, coping skills, and overall well-being. * Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives tailored to student needs and plan lessons accordingly. * Track student progress and collect data for monitoring growth in social-emotional and behavioral skills. * Assist students in developing positive social interactions, conflict resolution skills, and self-advocacy strategies. * Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution support for students in need. * Knowledge of positive behavioral interventions. * Knowledge of group counseling techniques with children and/or youth. * Knowledge of community resources and social services. * Knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of mental health concerns. * Ability to provide competent social work services, crisis intervention, and referral services to students. * Maintaining accurate records * Participating in school improvement initiatives. * Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams.
