POSITION: K-12 Social Work or Counselor 1.0 FTE at Brandon-Evansville


Start Date: 2025/2026 school year 


Qualifications: 

Licensed as a School Social Worker or School Counselor


Job Summary:  Responsible for providing education to K-12 students so that intellectual, emotional, developmental, and social needs are met according to the district and state standards, that will foster life-long learning and good citizenship.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Provide individual and small-group counseling to address social-emotional learning, self-regulation, coping skills, and overall well-being.

  • Develop and implement IEP goals and objectives tailored to student needs and plan lessons accordingly.

  • Track student progress and collect data for monitoring growth in social-emotional and behavioral skills.

  • Assist students in developing positive social interactions, conflict resolution skills, and self-advocacy strategies.

  • Provide crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution support for students in need.

  • Knowledge of positive behavioral interventions.

  • Knowledge of group counseling techniques with children and/or youth.

  • Knowledge of community resources and social services.

  • Knowledge of the diagnosis and treatment of mental health concerns.

  • Ability to provide competent social work services, crisis intervention, and referral services to students.

  • Maintaining accurate records

  • Participating in school improvement initiatives.

  • Ability to work efficiently, effectively, and cooperatively with multidisciplinary teams.

Brandon-Evansville offers a competitive salary, starting at $47,495 and is dependent upon education and experience. Benefit package includes but is not limited to: Health Insurance, HSA, Life Insurance, TRA, 403B, Personal Leave, Sick Leave
