This position is unique as the program will not have a Varsity team in 2025-26 due to the number of graduating seniors and declining participation in lower grades. The focus will be on building a foundation for the future and teaching fundamental football skills to athletes at various levels. The Head Coach will work closely with student-athletes to develop both athletic and interpersonal skills as well as foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership. The ideal candidate will also demonstarte a skill set to be a mentor who can inspire athletes and create a strong sense of community around the program. Job Summary: The Head Coach will work closely with student-athletes to develop both athletic and interpersonal skills as well as foster teamwork, discipline, and leadership. Duties and responsibilities include selection, instruction, training and coordination of high school athletes; demonstrating and generating an attitude of good sportsmanship and fair play; knowing and administering policies, procedures, and guidelines set forth in the HCN Storm athletic policy manual and MSHSL policies for football; and providing for the health, safety and well being of team members. Other duties may be assigned. Required Qualifications: * High School Diploma or equivalent * Valid MN Driver's License * Ability to pass a criminal background study Desired Qualifications: * Knowledgeable in the sport of football and in coaching football; * Ability to work harmoniously with other coaches; * Interact with students, parents and community members in a positive way Start Date: August 1, 2025.
