SciTech Academy is Seeking a k-8 ELL License Teacher for the 2025-26 School Year.
SciTech Academy is committed to empower and educate all students to achieve academic success through Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics so they can compete effectively in a competing global economy.
THE ELL TEACHER WILL:
Provide English instruction to ELL students
Serve as a resource for the ELL program
Serve as a resource for classroom teachers, assisting in the development of ELL instruction
Ensure that all identified ELL students are receiving sheltered English instruction
Be responsible for SciTech Academy Language Assessment administration (Access)
Train teachers to work effectively with ELL students and understanding the program
Deal tactfully and skillfully with a variety of individuals, including students, teachers, and parents
Be an effective organizer/planner
Participate in staff in-services and conferences
Work closely with the principal and instructional leader
Work with the Enrollment office / Coordinator in the building to better serve the language and assessments process.
Preferred Qualifications: Grade K-8 elementary level teaching experience with strong competency in the area of literacy, writing and reading, instructions planning experience and working with students from diverse backgrounds and ELL populations in an urban environment.
