Position has the potential for instruction in earth and space science, life science, and/or physical science. The teaching structure at SMS allows teams of content areas to work together to improve and reflect upon the pedagogical practices and experiences. Qualifications/Degree: Appropriate Minnesota Middle School Science License. Previous teaching experience is preferred but not required. Special Job Requirements: Within federal and state law and regulations and district policy and practice: * Responsible for the management of the instructional program for assigned students. * Responsible for establishing and maintaining an atmosphere conducive to learning within the classroom and assisting with the same throughout the building. * Responsible for the assessment of student progress. * Responsible for other duties as assigned by the building principal which are necessary to fulfill the basic function of the position and are consistent with the Master Agreement.
