This role supports both the Delano Public Schools Preschool program, delivering high-quality, developmentally appropriate instruction and care that promotes school readiness and whole-child development. About Our Program DPS Preschool features a strong play-based focus using the Creative Curriculum and aligns with a PreK-Grade 3 model in partnership with Delano Elementary School. Instructional progress is assessed using Teaching Strategies Gold. We offer a cohesive full-day experience by partnering with Tiger Kids Club for wrap-around care during the school year and summer. Key Responsibilities * Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate lessons across key developmental areas (literacy, math, science, social-emotional, physical) * Lead a classroom of up to 18 students in a safe, nurturing, and structured environment * Use play-based strategies to support hands-on learning and critical skill development * Observe, assess, and document student growth using Teaching Strategies Gold * Maintain accurate records and conduct two parent-teacher conferences per year * Communicate effectively and professionally with families and colleagues * Foster independence and positive social interactions through structured and unstructured activities * Apply classroom management strategies that support a respectful, inclusive environment * Ensure compliance with health and safety standards * Collaborate with the Early Childhood team to enhance programming * Participate in ongoing professional development Qualifications * Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field required * Minnesota teaching license required: Birth-Grade 3, K-6 with a pre-primary specialty, Early Childhood, or similar * 1+ years of relevant experience preferred (but not required) * Strong knowledge of child development and best practices in early education * Commitment to supporting at-risk families and inclusive practices * Cultural and linguistic competence aligned with the community&#8217;s needs * Self-motivated, collaborative, and passionate about high-quality early learning?
