Prairie View Elementary has a staff of 102 that serves approximately 575 students. The ideal leader must have experience regarding curriculum development and evaluation, be a skilled communicator, possess above average interpersonal skills to work with a diverse population among our students, parents and community. Eden Prairie is a school district with approximately 1,400 employees serving 9,000 students. The district is recognized for its quality initiatives and its leadership in educational programming. Position requirements: * Minnesota Elementary Principal License, or ability to obtain * 3-5 years of successful experience in public school administration and/or supervision * 5 years minimum experience as a classroom teacher Qualifications: * Experienced leader to coach and manage staff to meet the needs of all students, while creating and maintaining a culturally inclusive environment. * Previous experience in the areas of curriculum development and evaluation, personnel development, and evaluation focused on performance improvement. * Advanced coursework in areas pertaining to skills and content of the principalship. * Knowledge and experience regarding current issues in large school management. * Skilled communicator and systems thinker who possesses effective interpersonal skills to effectively work with staff, parents, and community. * Knowledge of analyzing data to make decisions for school improvement.
