Federal Funds and Budget Oversight * Collaborate with district leaders on the use of federal special education funds * Make recommendations regarding staffing, curriculum purchases, and tuition billing * Monitor Maintenance of Effort (MOE) and ensure fiscal compliance * Manage special education budget development and reporting 3. Staffing and Program Support * Lead staffing decisions for licensed and non-licensed personnel * Analyze student needs and caseload data to inform staff reallocation * Support job description development, candidate screening, and hiring * Oversee the assignment and reassignment of paraprofessionals * Plan and supervise Extended School Year (ESY) programming 4. Compliance, Due Process, and Discipline * Serve as the administrative designee at IEP meetings, with authority to commit district resources * Advise building administrators on discipline involving students with disabilities * Ensure procedural safeguards and discipline-related compliance * Monitor and address areas of risk that could lead to complaints or litigation 5.
