Qualifications: Valid Minnesota K-5 Teaching License along with knowledge/experience in the following areas: * Evidence of design-thinking and the engineering process as it applies to student learning and classroom activities * Evidence of productive experience with problem-based and project-based learning * Successful ability to manage students in a lab setting * Knowledge of the current theories, techniques and methodologies of STEAM/STEM * Ability to analyze data from multiple sources to design, implement, monitor and evaluate successful STEAM/STEM initiatives and curriculum * Assist in the development of STEAM curriculum aligned with career pathways ensuring the integration of academic and career technical education with 21st century skills * Proven ability to apply science and/or math content knowledge, formative assessment, and technology integration at a high level * Deep understanding of student learning theory, brain-based learning, and differential instruction * Using technology to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration * A clear understanding of the integrated relationship of the STEAM/STEM components (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) * Deliver STEAM/STEM-oriented instruction through project-based learning methods * Evidence of designing and implementing hands-on, student inquiry, integrated projects focused on the engineering standards primarily with natural extensions to the Minnesota math and science standards * Analyzing current best practices in STEAM/STEM education.
