Occupational Therapist - New Century School District

New Century School District is an innovative STEM Public Charter School (PreK - 12) located near the MN State Fairgrounds in St. Paul and a PreK-8 site in Bloomington (ie, Compass Academy). Our mission is to provide a high-quality education to nurture and inspire a community of learners through an innovative, holistic approach to education that embeds science and technology. Our vision is to create a STEM-based curriculum model that provides an education that is vibrant and alive, and acknowledges and maintains our students&#8217; backgrounds while preparing them for their lives as successful members of our diverse and technologically advancing society. The main responsibilities and job duties for the occupational therapist position includes: Duties and Responsibilities * Teach students proper fine motor skills, emotional regulations and other skills * Develop plans to assist students with OT needs * Provide teachers with information to assist with OT services. * Evaluate students with communication and concerns * Write IEP plans for students who receive OT services * Monitor student progress on their IEP communication goals * Complete Third-Party billing documents * Maintain contact and communication logs Qualifications: * Master's degree in occupational therapy * Must have a valid state license or certification.
