Waconia Public Schools—ISD 110 is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Technology with a start date on July 1, 2025.
Waconia Public Schools is a growing school district located in the western suburbs of Minneapolis. The district serves approximately 4,000 students from the communities of Waconia, Victoria, Minnetrista, Saint Bonifacius and New Germany. District facilities include an educational services and enrichment center, an area learning center, three elementary schools (K-5), one middle school (6-8), and one high school (9-12).
Position Summary: The Director of Technology is responsible for managing and overseeing the operations and staff of the district technology department and for providing strategic planning, direction and support in the acquisition and use of hardware, software, and networking of information used in school technology, decision making, curriculum integration, and technology training.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Learning Technologies, Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related area required. Master’s Degree preferred. The selected candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work collaboratively and independently to achieve school district goals.
