General Definition of Work Performs difficult professional work as the district-wide assessment coordinator, leading the data analysis to support the teaching and learning department, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Director of Teaching and Learning. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable an individual with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Essential Functions Trains staff on test specifications and procedures. Coordinates district-wide assessment including but not limited to MAP, CBM, Access, and MCA. Assists in collection, development, and presentation of data to stakeholders including teachers, administrators, school board, and community members. Serves as the district liaison to MDE and TIES and other consortiums with respect to assessment data. Provides assistance to directors, coordinators, principals, PLC&#8217;s and building level data teams in developing skills in data analysis and creating valid and reliable formative and summative assessments. Conducts research for teaching and learning department to identify needs and potential solutions; facilitate data analysis of all testing results, focus groups, surveys, as needed and appropriate. Assists with Response to Intervention (RTI) assessment, data analysis and program implementation. Assists with District grant writing initiatives including but not limited to achievement and integration grants. Assists with data collection and analysis for Academic Return on Investment. Administers various special programs district-wide as assigned by the Director of Teaching and Learning. Assist with planning and coordinating gifted and talented programing. Assists with summer school coordination. Supervises the distribution, collection, and analysis for district assessments, tests, and reports. Participates and serves on various committees, meetings, and workshops. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Thorough knowledge of District policies manuals, programs, procedures and processes; thorough knowledge of statistics and their use for data analysis; thorough skill performing data entry; thorough skill generating reports, charts and graphs of testing results; thorough skill using 21st Century learning tools; thorough skill operating standard office computer equipment and applicable hardware and software; thorough skill using standard student records database systems; thorough skill using assessment sites; ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages; ability to make arithmetic computations using whole numbers, fractions and decimals; ability to complete statistical analysis; ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to create and maintain files, records, reports and databases in a timely and effective manner electronically and on paper; ability to maintain working relationships with officials, teachers, employees and the general public.
