JOB DUTIES: The head girls basketball coach will be in charge of developing and implementing the girls basketball program for Sauk Rapids-Rice High School. He/She will instruct participants, oversee safety, game & practice plan, and supervise coaches. The Head Coach will oversee a program of student participants in grades 9-12, but will be involved in all aspects of District ISD 47 basketball, youth through varsity. This assignment also includes being able to assess skills, teaching/coaching skills, player development, and motivation within the basketball program. The position includes being the leader for directing, communicating, teaching, recruiting, practices, demonstrations, advising, organizing and assessing. The head girls basketball coach will also be responsible for a budget and all scheduling of practices. This position will report and work closely with the Activities Director to ensure the program is developing and growing.
